InterClub Rules

MDL-based smoker rules (Muay Thai Development League) with Title Quest house modifications. Safety gear is mandatory and bouts are refereed and coached.

  • ✓3 rounds × 2 minutes, 1-minute rest
  • ✓Punches, kicks, and knees to the body — full power
  • ✓Punches and kicks to the head — semi-contact only
  • ✓Head kicks only against a standing opponent
  • ✓Clinch work allowed — 5-second clinch, then the referee breaks
  • ✓16 oz gloves, shin guards, and headgear required
  • ✓Mouthpiece and groin protection required
  • ✕No elbows
  • ✕No knees to the head
  • ✕No spinning backfists
  • ✕No sweeps or joint manipulation
  • ✕No strikes to a downed or falling opponent

Bouts are no decision, and fighters receive feedback cards from the judges. The referee stops the bout for a mismatch, a lack of intelligent defense, or at the first sign a fighter can't continue. Bring your own gear — if you need to borrow gloves or headgear, let us know ahead of time.

I agree to make weight as entered, to be cornered by my coach, and to follow all InterClub rules and the instructions of the referee and event staff.
